Another day in the kitchen, sigh!
I must admit during part of my day I have been caught up looking at different new items and reports about the current situation. To be honest it’s increasingly difficult to know what is fact and what is not – fake news. Which stats do you believe, which videos are true?
I used to be an avid watcher of the news and religiously read the headlines every morning. A few years back I listened in a webinar from a highly respected market / business consultant who I follow. He made the case that with so much ‘news’ being pushed at us, it was almost impossible to digest it all and took up too much of our thoughts. He explained that most of it isn’t even relevant to our lives and further that we certainly couldn’t influence much of it anyway. He made the point that if something was that important, we would certainly find out anyway.
Initially I thought this was nonsense, a narrow minded approach and a sure way to become rapidly uninformed, perhaps even ignorant. Despite this, I decided to give it a go.
To my surprise, he was right! I immediately felt that I had more head space to focus on things that I could actually influence, even if only in a small way. And I`m pretty sure haven’t missed any significant world event. My wife who is a news addict certainly makes sure of that!!!
Today I was sent a super news article / video which I thought I would share with you.
Keep safe,
Anthony
